What makes the Fairfax Monthly Pinball Tournament different?

At most tournaments, players either choose a division or are clumped in a single division with all the other players. They are stuck there and sometimes, can't compete with better players. At the FMPT, everyone starts out with 0 points. They play matches against random opponents to earn points. Then, people with similar amounts of points are grouped together in divisions. This way, players always compete against people of similar skill level.

Another thing that makes the FMPT different is prizes. At many other competitions, the prizes really only matter in the top division, and if you don't win, you get nothing. At the FMPT, divisions usually only have 3 or 4 people. The winner of each division wins a plaque and the top two players in each division win cash prizes. Even in lower divisions, the winner can earn back more than the $10 entry fee. So far, competitors have won cash 62% of the time and plaques 31% of the time. Players of all skill levels can compete and win.

Come to the Fairfax Monthly Pinball Tournament and see for yourself what makes it unique!
